The TMWRF Maintenance staff performed a wide variety of large equipment overhauls as
well as installations during 2001-2002. Some of the larger projects the maintenance staff
conducted included: installation of two new large compressors, performed a complete overhaul
on the co-generator gas engine, sludge-cake pump installation, overhauled six
vertical turbine pumps/motors, coordinated the rebuilding of two bar-screens, and
rebuilt a raw sewage lift pump.
A total of 1230 work requests were written in the past fiscal year and there are currently
90 open work requests due to OSHA compliance issues and a reduction in personnel. Several large
painting projects were completed during the year. This includes the third phase of exterior painting of
all the buildings. The entire facility is now a gold color and blends in with the mountain colors.
Two clarifiers were refurbished and painted during the year.
